About the job:

Based within our Claims and Insurance Department, this role is responsible for managing professional negligence claims against surveyors and solicitors, ensuring the successful recovery of mortgage shortfalls.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is familiar with the full mortgage and loan life cycle, from the basic principles of underwriting through to litigation and repossession processes used. The ideal candidate will be experienced in dealing with 3rd party suppliers at a senior level, confident in understanding and explaining complex information and competent in producing accurate MI on the progress of Professional Negligence claims.

Your duties will include:

  • Producing and implementing procedures and policies for Professional Negligence claims.

  • Identifying Professional Negligence claims.

  • Processing claims to ensure that Solicitors have sufficient evidence to support each claim.

  • Discussing cases with Professional Negligence solicitors to ensure that the best course of action is taken to produce settlements.

  • Tracking claims and producing management information on the progress and success of claims.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Have at least 3 years experience within the Mortgage industry.

  • Understand the basics of conveyancing.

  • Be educated up to A-level/HND /Degree.

  • Be Experienced in dealing with senior management.

  • Have experience dealing with third party providers at a senior level.

  • Be familiar in the delivery of Management Information suite

  • Possess PC skills including MS Excel, Word, InfoPath and SharePoint.

  • Knowledge of Professional Negligence claims procedure.

  • CeMap Qualification.
